This Blog is About The Things I Use and Love

Bruce Eisner PhotoI have written and publisher weblogs since first “blogging” back in 2003. I published my first website in 1996, at a time when the Internet was quite young and much smaller.

There are a lot of blogs on the web that feature news and reviews about the latest products and services including new productivity tools, software, web services and technologies. Many of these weblogs are have to come up with a gadget or software download a day or sometime even more.

The sheet number of choice of everything from promising programs to social software to the latest gadget recommended by the well-Tweeted personal development guru can leave wondering which ones are truly useful.

In the midst of the ever growing mind numbing choices, the Truly Useful Blog was born. I pledge to not offer you anything here that I personally tried and found a “keeper.” Because a product can seem good for a while and then turn out to have problems not apparent at the beginning, the Truly useful items spotlighted in my blog will have been used for at least a couple of months.

My career as a writer and journalist goes back much further to the early Seventies. I also began using computers in 1977 while a college student at UC. Santa Cruz and owned my first personal computer, an Apple II in 1981.

I have been a technology geek as far back as I can remember and love gadgets, computers and software. I also spend a lot of time working on my computer and the Web. During that time, I have discovered and continued to use just a small portion of all of the hardware and software I have reviewed or evaluated. I call these technologies “truely useful.” This blog will contain the keepers.
